Advanced Pedicled Flap Dissection
Two-day hands-on cadaveric course for experienced hand surgery trainees: a full day of pedicled flap dissection, then a day alongside the faculty at the AnatoHand masterclass.
A course within AnatoHand, reserved for hand surgeons in training: one day of pedicled flap dissection, then a day alongside the faculty at the AnatoHand masterclass. Four participants and two tutors work on fresh-frozen specimens injected with red latex, so every artery and perforator stands out.
ANATOFLAPS is an intensive, technically oriented cadaveric course designed for surgeons with previous experience in hand surgery.
Each session begins with 5–10 minutes of focused anatomical and technical instruction, followed by supervised hands-on dissection.
The emphasis is on vascular anatomy, pedicle identification, perforator dissection, flap elevation and mobilisation.
All exercises focus exclusively on pedicled flaps, without microvascular anastomoses or free-flap preparation.
Limited to 4 participants to maximise individual dissection time and direct faculty supervision.
Seven pedicled flaps, from the fingertip to the arm.
Please note the schedule may be subject to minor changes.
On the second day you join the AnatoHand masterclass and assist the faculty hands-on during the surgical demonstrations (in German).
The fee covers both days: pedicled flap dissection on Wednesday and the AnatoHand masterclass on Thursday.
